LIMBO possibly headed to the PlayStation Network

LIMBO

LIMBO received critical acclaim and numerous awards when it was released exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade last year. Now it looks like the downloadable title may be headed to the PlayStation Network soon.

The Korean Rating Board has a listing for LIMBO, and apparently Sony Computer Entertainment Korea has rated the game. In all likelihood this means a PSN version of the puzzle platformer is now pending release.

SCE Korea’s involvement does not necessarily translate to a North American release, and at this point nothing has been confirmed or denied by Sony. But 2008’s Braid and Castle Crashers were released on PSN after a period of XBLA exclusivity. LIMBO following suit would not be too surprising.

Playdead Studios, the team behind LIMBO, has already begun work on its next IP. If a PSN version is indeed coming soon, then an outside developer is likely behind it.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
