Max Payne goes mobile

Max Payne

Rockstar is hard at work on Max Payne 3 in anticipation of its March 2012 release date, but the company also has plans to bring the original game to a brand new audience later this year.

A company press release reveals that a mobile version of Max Payne is currently being developed. It will include all of the features found in its PC counterpart, such as HD visuals and customizable controls.

Also noted was how the mobile version will have connectivity to the Rockstar Games Social Club, though no specific details were given.

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Max Payne, so it seems like a logical time to introduce the franchise to the mobile marketplace. More information should be coming in the near future, and the mobile version of Max Payne is set to come out this fall.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
