Namco Bandai recognizes petition for PC Dark Souls

Dark Souls

A recent petition for a PC port of Dark Souls has sparked the interest of many fans, gaining over 69,000 signatures as of this writing. Now publisher Namco Bandai has taken notice of the impressive effort.

Tony Shoupinou, community manager at Namco Bandai, addressed the topic on the company forums.

“If you wanted to have the attention of Namco Bandai Games, now you have it,” he said. “The future is in your hands, and I hope you will keep supporting this. I make a personal objective to make sure every relevant people in Namco Bandai Games is in touch with this formidable effort.”

Obviously that doesn’t indicate any concrete plans on the part of Namco Bandai, but it’s good to know that the company recognizes the strong support for a PC version of Dark Souls.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
