There are sure to be some people out there wondering when the next Katamari game will be announced since Katamari Forever came out in late 2009. Perhaps the wait won’t be too much longer.
Developer/publisher Namco Bandai has filed two new trademarks: Katamari amore and Katamari amore Rolling Whopper. Considering the bizarre and wacky nature of the series that last trademark sounds like an absolutely perfect title for a new Katamari game.
Namco Bandai also trademarked the title Time Trip, in addition to the phrase, "Have a Nice Trip!" The latter sounds like a tagline to a new game called Time Trip, though it is all just speculation at this point.
The Katamari series has wavered since Katamari Damacy came out back in 2004. If these trademarks do in fact lead to a new Katamari game, hopefully it can capitalize on those same crazy thrills that the original cult classic provided.
