Remedy working on ‘groundbreaking AAA console project’

Alan Wake

Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind the Max Payne series and Alan Wake, appears to be developing a brand new game for consoles.

According to a job listing on the company website, Remedy is in search of a Gameplay/AI Programmer to help work on a “groundbreaking AAA console project.”

The listing goes on to state that the project will be the “next iteration of Remedy’s in-house engine that was previously used in Alan Wake and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.”

The possibility of this new game being Alan Wake 2 isn’t entirely out of the question, though it’s all speculation at this point. In the meantime fans can look forward to the upcoming XBLA title Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, set to come out on February 15.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
