Resistance 3 confirmed for 2011, will be a no show at PAX

Ever since a promotional billboard was spotted for Resistance 3 back in 2009, it has been pretty safe to assume the game is indeed real and will be out at some point. Insomniac officially announced the game recently at Gamescom with a live-action trailer, but no release date.

Resistance 3 has now been confirmed by Insomniac as a 2011 release, via their Twitter account. They also stated that the game will not be making an appearance at the upcoming PAX Prime in favor of showing off more of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, the first game coming out of their North Carolina studio.

Insomniac did state there will be "more to come" on Resistance 3. Let’s hope that statement applies to the very near future.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
