Respawn Entertainment launches new website, hints at upcoming project

Respawn game

Respawn Entertainment was formed by Jason West and Vince Zampella after their controversial dismissal from Infinity Ward. Now the developer has launched a brand new website, and with it a small hint at its upcoming project.

The incredibly blurry image above can be found under the games section of the website along with the brief message, "Stay tuned…" It’s hard to make out anything in the picture, though a few towering structures and some kind of building can be seen.

No other information about the game has been released up to this point other than its distinction as a new IP. In addition, Electronic Arts will have exclusive publishing and distribution rights to the future title as reported last year.

Also included on the site is a news section, a forum, and a company page that details the entire Respawn Entertainment staff. There are quite a few accomplished designers on the team, with past work such as PilotWings 64 and God of War III under their belt.

This isn’t a whole lot of information to go on, but hopefully the new site means more information on Respawn Entertainment’s first game will be coming soon.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
