Rockstar reveals Social Club features for L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire

Rockstar Games introduced the Social Club with the release of Grand Theft Auto IV back in 2008. Now the company is detailing what features will be included for the service with their newest game, L.A. Noire.

Social Club members will gain access to an unlockable new outfit, the Chicago Lightning Suit. Though the suit looks rather stylish on main character Cole Phelps, it also enhances his accuracy when using shotguns or machine guns.

Also included will be a unique "Ask the Community" feature. This will allow players to see what percentage of other Social Club members decided whether a witness was lying or telling the truth during interviews. Doing so requires Intuition Points though, and Rockstar points out that they are "in short supply."

Lastly, players will be able to track stats, check their progress, and look at the "friend comparison features" on the Social Club website. This includes the "enhanced versions of the checklists that everyone loved with Red Dead Redemption."

Images of the Chicago Lightning Suit and how the Ask the Community feature will be implemented can be found below.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
