Sony recently filed for a trademark on two pieces of property, both intangible and tangible, in Europe, that gives gamers a glimpse at what might be the actual name of the new Playstation 3 Motion Controller. With GDC underway and E3 on the way, it’s about time.
The trademarked name will be the "Playstation Move", and the trademarked logo will be the picture above. While this is certainly better than the previously hinted "Gem", some fans have grown attached to the name "Arc". However, according to VG247, there were apparently some trademark issues related to "Arc", and so the banhammer had to be called in.
Is this really the final name or the elusive PS3 motion controller, or just another misdirection? Stay tuned for more info as it comes out.
