Eddie Inzauto is joined by Dan Crabtree and Greg Galiffa on Episode 30 of the Versus Node Podcast to talk about death in gaming, specifically how developers incorporate a numerous different “death mechanics” into the design philosophy of games and how the varying implementations affect the way we play. From permadeath to non-death, and every intensity and frequency in between, we’re analyzing what’s happening before, during, and after that game over screen.
