In exactly one month, Rising Star Games will finally bring Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut to the PlayStation 3. To prepare uninitiated gamers for this most polarizing open-world psychological thriller, the publisher has released a new “Welcome to Greenvale” trailer.

Deadly Premonition‘s original 2010 release on Xbox 360 has become somewhat of a cult hit with the internet gaming community, and while many criticize it for various aspects of its visual presentation, mechanics, and narrative, others just can’t get enough of the undeniably unique and simply weird total package the game offers. Have a look at the trailer below, and see if it sparks your interest.

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut will be released on April 30 for the PlayStation 3. It will come with a budget price tag of $39.99.
