Halo: Reach Beta to get Invasion mode today

New mode access coming today for the beta.

Bungie has revealed via Twitter that the Halo: Reach Beta will be getting access to the game’s Invasion gametype today.

Starting at 11am PDT, players will be able to play the new gametype that features six-on-six Spartans vs. Elites with Elites on the offensive and Spartans on the defensive. Elites are tasked with taking out certain objectives in the map to unlock more of the map and continue pressing the assault. Spartans must defend these objectives and prevent the Elites from taking over the map.

Players can also choose to spawn next to an out of combat teammate after being killed in order to better strategize your next attack or counter-attack.

The mode will be playable on Boneyard, a massive map complete with vehicles and deadlier weapons become unlocked as each match plays on.
