Pimp My DS

One of the disadvantages of the Nintendo DS handheld is its inability to play music and videos, unlike its competitors. Luckily, for DS owners everywhere, Datel has decided to change all that. With Datel,s new MAX Media Dock, you can play movies and music, view photos, and even run executables right from the mounted flash card!

The Dock comes with a cartridge that fits right into the slot used for DS games. This allows you to access the MAX Media Player, which features a browser to access absolutely anything stored on the Compact Flash card, which fits into a dock that is attaches to the GBA port.

Any Compact Flash cards can be used with the dock, so DS owners don,t have to shell out extra cash if they already own a card. The dock, without bundled cards, sells for $39.99 US. It comes with the MAX Media Player cartridge and the dock, which plugs into your USB 2.0 port to transfer files from your PC to your card. There is already a thriving community of gamers who are creating their own home-made applications for use with the dock.

With the ability to support cards of up to 8GB in size, the MAX Media Dock can turn the DS into a fancier version of any other handheld console, organizer, MP3, or movie player.
