Call of Duty 4 beta ends September 30th

Call of Duty 4According to a pre-order advertisement at Gamestop’s website, the beta period for Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4 is scheduled to end on September 30th at 11:59pm.

That leaves less than two weeks of Modern Warfare for everyone out there in Xbox Live land, and a full month and five days after that of sans-CoD4 existence. The final version of the first-person shooter ships on November 5th.

So what does one do in the meantime? Well, Half-Life 2’s Orange Box releases on October 9th, so there’s always that to keep you occupied. If you’re into sci-fi shooters, I think something is coming out later this month, also. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been advertised much, so I can’t remember the name.

I’m sure you’ll be able to find it at some stores next week, though, so don’t fret.
