GTA IV 'roughly 100 hours to finish'

gtaivWhen the guys over at  videogamer.com went to Rockstar’s London HQ, they asked a spokesperson how long it would take to finish the game–the answer was "about 100 hours if you take your time.

Use Niko’s phone, get tons of playtime. Niko’s phone is used to call contacts, arrange drinking sessions, sort out dates with women and call in jobs. It will also be the gateway to GTA IV’s still secretive multiplayer side of the game.

"If you’re not in a rush and you answer the phone when it rings it’ll take about 100 hours to complete", said the spokesman. "It’s harder to distinguish between main and side missions – there are loads of both. But there are more main missions than side missions. It’s not as clear cut as it used to be because of the phone."

I’m not really surprised at this announcement because I myself was close to racking up 80 hours in GTA: San Andreas. With such an open world to explore, and tons of missions and side-quests popping up wherever you go players can be expected to invest a lot of their time exploring everything Liberty City as to offer. If Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion had me spend over 150 hours, why can’t GTA IV?
