Update raises level cap, adds content to CoD4 beta

CoD4Infinity Ward has released an update for the popular beta of their upcoming shooter, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The update’s major change is that it increases the user level cap from 11 to 16, allowing the top-end players a chance for some more growth.

Other additions include new weaponry, perks, and the ability to use clan tags after level 12.

The most exciting part of this upgrade, however, may very well be the email sent by Infinity Ward, stating that this will be the "first of several level increases" as the beta period wears on.

Call of Duty 4 is shaping up to be an excellent multiplayer FPS experience, taking the genre in new directions (and away from WWII!!!) and adding new and interesting features, while still offering tight, time-tested gameplay.  I am personally looking forward to the final release, but until then, see you in the beta!
