Grand Theft Auto Online launching 2 weeks after GTA V, first gameplay trailer released

GTAO

Rockstar Games has revealed a new video for the upcoming GTA V patch, Grand Theft Auto Online, detailing the large-scale multiplayer suite of content for the GTA V universe with plenty of gameplay footage to support the video’s informative narration.

Perhaps as notable as the broad range of play options for up to 16 players in Grand Theft Auto Online — cooperative missions, deathmatches, world events, sandbox-style activities, earning money, character customization, buying real estate, collecting vehicles, using the content creator, etc. — is the fact that GTAO won’t be available until October 1, a full two weeks after GTA V‘s release date.

Perhaps this way, Rockstar can be sure that players have a lengthy taste of the solo campaign before losing themselves in multiplayer, and they can prevent two-week trade-ins with a robust set of new content within that pivotal time frame.
