Killzone PS3 port ‘delayed indefinitely’

Killzone

Last month it was confirmed that a port of the original Killzone would be coming to the PlayStation Network for $10, but now it turns out that plan has been put on hold.

According to the official Killzone franchise Twitter account, the port of the first game has been “delayed indefinitely.” No reason was given for the decision and there has been no official word from developer Guerrilla Games or Sony.

This news isn’t too surprising considering the original release date of January 24 has already come and gone. One might be particularly curious about the reason for the delay though since this release was meant to be a simple port with no HD visuals or added features.

In the meantime, Guerrilla Games is working on the next Killzone installment.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
