Games Japanese developers most anticipate

Often, we’re all so caught up in our own gaming worlds, awaiting the latest and greatest, we rarely stop and wonder what the game creators themselves are setting their sights on.

In this week’s issue of the Japanese gaming publication, Famitsu, 19 game creators from some of Japan’s top developers were asked which impending games most caught their eyes.

After all, the people who make our favorite games are surely inspired by their peers, in some capacity.

The folks at andriasang.com have translated the section.

Grasshopper Manufacturer’s Goichi Suda (more commonly known as Suda 51), of No More Heroes fame, said he has his eyes on Tokyo Jungle, a game currently in development by Sony Computer Entertainment.  Also on his list: Kinect and a game called Shadows of the Damned (developed by Grasshopper, produced by EA).

The Last Guardian has a considerable amount of anticipation from gamers and creators alike.  Akari Uchida from Capcom, as well as Yoshinori Kitase and Yasushi Minagawa from Square-Enix, are among those most looking forward to Fumito Ueda and Team Ico’s latest installment.
