Jack Thompson thinks he's in GTA4. Yup

Jack ThompsonWhat? Someone wants to stop Grand Theft Auto 4 from being released? No! That’s right, another nut job has come up with an excuse to try and interfere with the GTA series.

Miami attorney Jack Thompson (surprise!) is claiming that Rockstar parodied him in an assassination mission and that he feels threatened by this. So if they don’t take him out, he’s going to take action. Don’t you have anything better to do Jacky boy?

Yesterday, Thompson filed a document with a federal court, including his letter to the Take Two Chairman, Strauss Zelnick. He thinks that "the fact that the lawyer, killed on Niko’s first mission, would bring up video games, makes it clearly a reference to me." Well that’s a little self flattery don’t you think?

Ok, so there’s a chance that it could be a parody of Jacko, considering Take Two’s history with him, but what do you expect when you target them yourself? You attack them from your realm, and they attack you from theirs–kinda like a prank war. Didn’t you ever go to college Jack?

There’s some things you have to take in good humor, but of course, if you’re an anti-game advocate, you probably have no sense of humor… or fun. Thompson furthers his argument by saying "Now you have descended this low – using one of your games to threaten my physical safety… failure to comply with the deadline… will result in my having to take necessary and proper means to stop release of the game which targets me personally… given the copycatting of violent games…"

You’re right, ever since I started playing Grand Theft Auto, my assault charges have skyrocketed out the roof, and I’m facing my 7th stolen car accusation. What ever happened to the stereotype that us gamers were nerds?

Hey, I have an idea: why don’t you go prosecute some real murderers with your knowledge of the law instead of being a nuisance to a market you don’t understand?
