If the above image submitted by an anonymous tipster is any proof, captured at a recent fighting game tournament showing a beta version of SoulCalibur V, then the latest edition in the long-standing weapons-based fighting series will be getting a taste of the Italian Renaissance. Ezio Auditore de Firenze appears to be a special guest character for the title, set to release March 2012.
There has yet to be any official confirmation if this leaked image is indeed authentic and no information about Ezio or whether he will act as a special character across the board or with specific versions of the game have been given. Despite this, the image seems rather legitimate and both the SoulCalibur and Assassin’s Creed series share similar time periods.
