More Assassin's Creed in 2011

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

The year 2011 will see yet another installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Earlier this month Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said there would be something Assassin’s Creed related coming out next year. Now Geoffroy Sardin, chief of marketing and sales at Ubisoft, has furthered that point.

"Yes, Yves [Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO] mentioned it last week in our financials – and more details will be forthcoming. But what I can say is that next year we will have another big Assassin’s Creed game."

The use of the word "big" to describe the game has a lot of people hoping for Assassin’s Creed III. Either way it will be the third game in the series in just three years. But considering how well received Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood has been, maybe more Assassin’s Creed isn’t such a bad idea.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
