Red Wii finds its way over to Europe

Last week it was announced Japan would be getting a red Wii to go along with its Super Mario Collection, the Wii port of Super Mario All-Stars, celebrating Mario’s 25th birthday.

It was also announced that Europe would see the same anniversary game.

As it now turns out, Europe will also be blessed with the red Wii, though some changes will be made.

Instead of being pre-loaded with Super Mario Bros., the European-centric red Wii will be ready to play the original Donkey Kong.

Also, in addition to Wii Sports, a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii is packaged in.

Like the Japanese version, one red Wii Remote Plus will also be included.

The special red Wii is set for an October 29 release date.

Still no word on whether or not there will be a North American release for either anniversary items.
