Codemasters announce Overlord DLC

overlordFor you folks with evil intentions, Codemasters announced plans for some downloadable content for their quirky action/minion-controlling game Overlord. As of now, they’re planning three separate content packs; one will be free while the other two will have a price tag.

The free pack will be titled Overlord: Split-Screen Multiplayer Pack and as I’m sure you can tell from the title, the content pack will add split-screen support, along with a new multiplayer map called Rocky Race.

The two priced content packs will be titled Overlord: Raising Hell and Overlord: Challenge Pack. Raising Hell will include a new single-player campaign with five new levels (Mellow Hills, Evernight, Heaven’s Peak, Golden Halls and the Ruborian Desert). New enemies and objectives will be featured, too.

As for the Challenge Pack, it’ll include seven new online multiplayer maps, including ‘Capture the Maiden’ and ‘Protect Your Power’. In addition, the pack will include a new ‘Legendary’ mode for you overlords seeking a challenge.

The brand-new content will be released this month over Xbox Live and sometime in 2008 for PC.
