So Grand Theft Auto IV is to take place in New York City…The Big Apple…the Five — scratch that — Four Boroughs. What?
That’s right. Apparently Rockstar is leaving Richmond County out of the newest installment in its flagship series. There is no explanation as to why it’s not included, but Rockstar has confirmed that New Jersey will be available for virtual exploration. Here is the official list of names for these fictional counterparts to the real-life locales:
- Manahattan = Algonquin
- Brooklyn = Broker
- Queens = Dukes
- Bronx = Bohan
- New Jersey = Alderney
So Staten Island was dropped in favor of New Jersey. Fair trade?
