According to the latest statistics from Google Trends, the Xbox 360 is more popular than the PS3 and the Wii. The statistics state that users searched for "Xbox 360" almost double the amount of times than the PS3 and Wii.
However, this isn’t and shouldn’t be the sticking point for a popularity debate. Internet searches are a frivolous number and the larger, more established user base of the 360 doesn’t make it make it a fair fight.
After another year, once PS3 and Wii have established their presence, these stats should be analyzed again to see who the real winner in the popularity contest is. A full detailed report with charts can be found here.
