BioWare and LucasArts are looking to bring this new MMORPG to players in the Spring of 2011.

Today BioWare officially confirmed what EA CEO John Ricitiello mentioned yesterday about the developer’s highly-anticipated MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. The game is aimed for a release of spring 2011 with updates and reveals planned throughout 2010.

"While we have not announced a specific date, we can confirm that we are targeting a spring 2011 release for Star Wars: The Old Republic," said Sean Dahlberg, community manager for BioWare. "We’ve got a lot of exciting updates and reveals planned throughout 2010, including the first-ever hands-on testing for the game."

Dahlberg then mentioned that BioWare is still taking applications for testers and anyone interested could apply on the game’s website.

"We can’t wait to share more about the game with you as we progress through the year, so make sure you stay tuned to the official website for details," he stated.

With all classes and many planets already revealed, it will be interesting to see what BioWare will announce in the year to come regarding The Old Republic.
