Virginia Tech gunman didn't play violent games

jthompsonThe full and final report by Governor Tim Kaine’s Virginia Tech Review Panel is now available and details that gunman Seung Hui Cho didn’t play any violent video games. In fact, the only game Cho did play was Sonic the Hedgehog.

We did report a few months ago that video games weren’t found in Cho’s dorm room and that Cho’s roommates never saw him play any video games. With this follow-up report, the insane accusations from infamous lawyer Jack Thompson and TV personality Dr. Phil can finally be laughed at and thrown out the window (if not already).

Chapter IV of the report details Cho’s activities and lo and behold, violent video games weren’t included in his routine.

"Sun and her parents recall that Cho seemed to be doing better. He was enrolled in a Tae Kwon Do program for awhile, watched TV, and played video games like Sonic the Hedgehog. None of the video games were war games or had violent themes. He liked basketball and had a collection of figurines and remote controlled cars. "

So I think we can lead a collective "in your face" to Jack Thompson and Dr. Phil. Well, it’s not like we haven’t done that numerous times in the past already. Hopefully Sonic doesn’t get accused of warping minds, but at least he’s fast enough to escape the police if it comes to that.
