Take Two Interactive has announced that the company will be forming a new studio, to be located in sunny California.
2K Marin will reportedly be made up of ex-Bioshock team members, and will focus primarily on producing new intellectual property for 2K Games. The Novato, California -based studio will also assist with other 2K projects and existing IP.
Said 2K president Christoph Hartmann:
"We’re focused on continuing to bring new brands and cutting-edge gameplay to market with the creation of the 2K Marin studio. 2K Marin will build upon our success in creating and leveraging AAA franchises."
