The U.S. has been fighting just about everybody in recent and upcoming FPS titles, and now it’s time to add China to the list. While this first gameplay trailer for Operation Flashpoint: Red River doesn’t show off much of the action, the premise is clear: a fight to the death with the world’s largest army.

Other than storyline, this trailer offers little in terms of actual battle footage, but it seems like the shooting mechanics and movement are essentially the same as always. The settings, however, look expansive and desolate as the characters stare out onto mountainous desert vistas, a fairly realistic depiction of modern-day Afghanistan. Let’s just hope there’s some fightin’ in them there hills.

No official release date has been given except for the time frame of 2011, likely the latter half, on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
