Devin Hester, last season’s Chicago Bears kick return master, has apparently influenced the development team of Madden 08 into making his speed stat 100. No player in Madden video game history has ever received a skill rating higher than a 99.
This arises a few questions from Madden fanatics like myself. What will happen when somebody comes along that is faster than Hester? Will their speed stat be 101, or will it still be 100? It should be fun to see how much difference a 100 makes compared to a 99.
According to ESPN, "Hester has been known to have been lobbying members of the Madden NFL 08 development team for the top speed rating." I just hope that Tank Johnson isn’t lobbying for the addition of defensive linemen armed with assault rifles to the game.
