Ninja Gaiden 3 to support PlayStation Move

Ninja Gaiden 3

Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei have confirmed that their upcoming hack-and-slash title Ninja Gaiden 3 will be fully compatible with Sony’s PlayStation Move at launch.

"We are really excited to announce the fantastic news at one of Europe’s most prestigious game events that is Gamescom", said leader of Team Ninja Yosuke Hayaski. "Ninja Gaiden 3 is all about slicing and chopping through flesh and bone and PlayStation Move brings players even closer to the game’s protagonist Ryu Hayabusa. The game will be compatible with all Move peripherals and it will feature full compatibility with this exciting new hardware."

It has not been demonstrated how exactly this will function with the game mechanics but it is a noteworthy addition regardless. GamerNode also reported that the game will feature a complex multiplayer mode including both cooperative and competitive play. With these additions Ninja Gaiden 3 looks to be shaping up into a robust game.

Team Ninja is aiming to release Ninja Gaiden 3 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in the first quarter of 2012.
