Capcom Boasts New Street Fighter Title for Xbox 360

Microsoft founder Bill Gates announced briefly at the Consumer Electronics Show that Street Fighter II would be arriving on Xbox 360 by way of Xbox Live Marketplace. Capcom has since confirmed that Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, known in arcades as Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, will be made available in the Xbox Marketplace with new features. Quick match, optimatch, and a new quarter match option will be available to SF II fans. Quarter matches allow two players to fight while a group of spectators await a chance to take down githe champion. This mode is fatefully similar to DOA 4’s online mode. Players can watch the current match while trash talking or discussing strategy. Capcom has said that we can expect more than 10 online and offline achievements to awarded players for achieving tasks, and a “feature limited” demo version that lets players play single game matches with two SF II characters.
