25,000 Wiis; Deal or Not?

In a rather surprisingly bold move initiated by Toys “R” Us, gamers now have a fantastic reason to rush to one of the biggest toy stores in the country. Within a new promotion in conjunction with NBC,s Deal or No Deal game show, Toys “R” Us is giving away 25,000 Nintendo Wii consoles. Playing the game requires an edition of your local Sunday newspaper. From October 1st through October 28th, the newspaper will hold two cut-out game pieces that are shaped just like the suitcases that appear on the popular game show. Gamers can snip these pieces from the newspaper and bring them into a Toys “R” Us store, where the stores can identify them as a Deal or No Deal game piece. If you use the game piece as “Deal”, you can get 10% off one item. However, if you are a risk-taker then you may want to go with the “No Deal” option. “No Deal” gets your little suitcase scanned to see if you have won a prize, or simply just a 5% discount on one item. Players are able to play every week after receiving a new game piece from the newspaper. The single grand prize of this promotion will include a $1 million trip to Los Angeles to attend the Deal or No Deal game show. Even grander is the fact that a Nintendo Wii will be awarded to 25,000 applicants. Other prizes will include products from Schwinn, Nintendo, Sony and LeapFrog.

It is obvious that this promotion held by NBC is being timed to correspond with the upcoming season of Deal or No Deal, but despite whether or not you have even heard of the show, you should take good advantage of it.
