Spector: ‘Epic project’ to be announced March 27

The man behind Epic Mickey may be preparign to announce the game's sequel.

Warren Spector, head of Junction Point Studios and Disney Interactive Studios, will be unveiling his newest game on March 27, one that the developer described as an “epic project.”

The comment came from French fansite Nintendo Master, which hints heavily of an official reveal of Epic Mickey 2 coming at the end of the month. Accidentally outed back in a January Disney newsletter but not yet confirmed, the sequel is said to be targeting a Christmas 2012 release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii.

In addition to the release window and platforms, the leaked newsletter also described a two-player split-screen co-op mode with the second player taking the role of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Whether or not the game mode will make it into the final game will likely become known when Spector makes his announcement on the 27.
