Guitar HeroTwo million individual tracks have now been downloaded for Guitar Hero II via Xbox Live. The sale of over 650,000 song packs have pushed Activision’s rhythm-based game to what would be considered multi-platinum status in the record industry.

Said RedOctane’s head of publishing, Dusty Welch,:

"Activision was the first third-party publisher to offer downloadable content via Xbox Live to consumers and as a result, we have tremendous insight into the types of content that consumers want."
