Medal of Honor sequel name and release date revealed

Game Informer's Jim Reily gives the information on the Medal of Honor sequel provided to him by OXM.

According to a report from Game Informer’s Jim Reilly, the sequel to 2010’s Medal of Honor franchise reboot is now officially titled Medal of Honor: Warfighter and is coming this October.

Reilly’s source is a copy of the latest Official Xbox Magazine, which he seems to have acquired early. The game is once again being developed by Danger Close and will continue to follow Tier 1 Operators.

Though the game’s multiplayer will not be handled by DICE this time around, instead to be done by Danger Close, it will use the developer’s Frostbite 2.0 engine. Electronic Arts will reportedly provide more information on the game at next month’s Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco.

The OXM article will feature more details, screenshots, and interviews on Medal of Honor: Warfighter when it eventually reaches all subscribers and retail shelves. The report from Reilly did not specify what platforms the game would release on.
