Trion World Network Inc. announced its formation today with a major intention of combining high-speed Internet with the gaming market. Formed by former EA VP Lars Buttler and New World Computing founder Van Caneghem, Trion World Network plans to deliver online games in episodic format to broadband-connected homes.
The company is based in Redwood City, California and has an undisclosed amount of funding from Doll Capital Management and Trinity Ventures.
