Epic Games files trademarks for Gears of War: Exile

What is this mysterious new trademark about?

A week ago, Epic Games secretly filed a few trademarks for a mysterious new project titled Gears of War: Exile. Today, the existence of those trademarks have finally surfaced on the internet.

There are three trademarks centered on Gears of War: Exile. They are for "T-shirts", "series of computer game hint books and instruction manuals", and "video game software". The trademarks also came with a logo, shown above.

No other information is known about the title, but it could very well have been the mysterious Gears of War announcement that was supposed to be made at the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards.

The source link will not allow access directly to the trademarks. Instead go to "SEARCH MARKS" and type "Gears of War" into the search box.
