New The Simpsons game this fall

If getting a Homer Simpson Xbox 360 seems a bit out of the ordinary, then maybe a new Simpsons game will be even better. The new project, under the direction of EA, is going by the working simpsonsgametitle of The Simpsons. (what else?) The game will be heading to the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, DS and PSP this fall.

The game will take place across 16 levels in the style of a standard Simpsons episode. Within each level, players will control two family members; two-player co-op mode will be supported too. Part of the story involves the Simpsons family being trapped in a video game and adapting various special powers–Bart can transform to Bartman, for example.

The last The Simpsons video game was the critically acclaimed The Simpsons Hit & Run for the PS2, GC, Xbox and PC in September 16, 2003 from Radical Entertainment and Vivendi Universal Games.
