Nintendo reveals Super Mario Collection in Japan

Everyone’s favorite goomba-squashing Italian plumber is turning 25 years old.

In celebration of this special ocassion, Nintendo of Japan announced it will release Super Mario Collection. This is to be a Wii port of the Super Nintendo classic, Super Mario All-Stars… in Japan. It is unlikely that North America will see this release, as Nintendo of America Inc. has a long-standing tradition of not releasing such specialties to its audience.

Along with a commemorative book, the game will also include a soundtrack, spanning the range of Mario games, old and new.

All of this will be available on October 21, for the low price of ¥2,500. That’s roughly $30.
