UK's Videogame Nation heads north

In a recent press release Videogame Nation confirmed it will be starting it’s tour at the Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland Archives near Newcastle on February 12, 2011.

The exhibition promises to showcase and celebrate the greatest aspects and achievements of the British gaming industry from the 1970s up to present day.

The exhibition will be split into a number of sections, each with its own character and theme celebrating a specific era or phenomenon of British gaming.

Like last year the exhibition has put an emphasis on interactivity filling each section with playable consoles and classic arcade machines.

Additionally, several development houses operating in the area have gotten involved creating their own interactive displays for the show.

Some of the biggest contributers include Ubisoft Reflections, Eutechnyx, the Falcus brothers and Pitbull Studios.

Having drawn thousands to its Manchester debut last year, the move in venue showcases the increased budget the exhibition has been given to work with. Whether this will facilitate any major improvement remains to bee seen.
