City of Heroes forums catches alleged criminal

cohjailFor the past few weeks, a poster has been making rather disconcerting messages and posts on City of Heroes’ official message board. Under the username "Trafalgar", the poster makes remarks on several incidents about abusing prisoners and using unnecessary force during his line of work as a corrections officer.

Multnomah County sheriff’s office is currently investigating David B. Thompson, whose alleged messages ranged from the rather sadistic, "Seeing someone get TASER’d is second only to being the guy pulling the trigger. That is money. Puts a smile on your face," to the rather utterly wacky, "I crushed a dude’s eye socket from repeatedly punching him in it, then I charged him with menacing and harassment (of me)."

John Minnis, director of the state Department of Public Safety, said, "It would be something we certainly would be interested in looking at. It sounds similar to other cases we have reviewed and successfully prosecuted (for law-enforcement decertification)."

What happens in real-life, stays in real-life, I don’t think it’s necessary to cross into the online world with these unlawful shenanigans. Looks like all City of Heroes players are not really heroes at all, in or out of the game.
