Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath remake coming to PS3

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath

Video game developer Just Add Water announced earlier this year that they were working on Oddworld titles across "multiple platforms." Turns out one of those titles will be a remake of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath for the Playstation 3.

"Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too," explained Just Add Water boss Stewart Gilray.

Originally an Xbox exclusive released in 2005, this enhanced version is planned as a download-only title. Improvements will include 720p HD visuals, re-mastered dialogue, Move support, and additional material that has not yet been specified. The remade Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is set to come out next Easter in 2011.

My first experience playing a video game blew me away. The fact that Super Metroid was that game certainly helped. So I like to think Samus put me on the path to video games. Well, I guess my parents buying the SNES had a little something to do with it. Ever since then my passion for video games has grown. When I found that I could put words together into a coherent sentence, videogame journalism was a natural interest. Now I spend a large majority of my time either playing video games or writing about them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
