Persona 4 fighter officially coming to US

Atlus is bringing the fighter featuring Persona 3 and Pesona 4 characters to the US.

Atlus has made plenty of Persona fans happy today, announcing that Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena will be arriving on the American side of the Pacific this summer, hitting the US as Persona 4 Arena.

The series’ fighting game expansion will land for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles and has been developed by Arc System Works. It will bring characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4 together in HD 2D graphics as they duke it out in battles filled with “over-the-top special effects.”

“The Persona series has had tremendous success in North America, and Persona 4 in particular opened the series up to wider audiences than ever before,” said Atlus VP of Sales and Marketing Tim Pivnicny. ¬†“Now we’re looking to expand Persona even further by teaming up with a very strong partner, Arc System Works, to move the franchise¬†outside of the RPG genre and develop its potential in new and exciting ways.”

In addition to the announcement, Atlus has provided the first eight screenshots of Persona 4 Arena in addition to its cover art and logo. You can check out each one below.
