Persona 4 fighter officially coming to US

Atlus is bringing the fighter featuring Persona 3 and Pesona 4 characters to the US.

Atlus has made plenty of Persona fans happy today, announcing that Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena will be arriving on the American side of the Pacific this summer, hitting the US as Persona 4 Arena.

The series’ fighting game expansion will land for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles and has been developed by Arc System Works. It will bring characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4 together in HD 2D graphics as they duke it out in battles filled with “over-the-top special effects.”

“The Persona series has had tremendous success in North America, and Persona 4 in particular opened the series up to wider audiences than ever before,” said Atlus VP of Sales and Marketing Tim Pivnicny.  “Now we’re looking to expand Persona even further by teaming up with a very strong partner, Arc System Works, to move the franchise outside of the RPG genre and develop its potential in new and exciting ways.”

In addition to the announcement, Atlus has provided the first eight screenshots of Persona 4 Arena in addition to its cover art and logo. You can check out each one below.
